Anyone fitted 235's on a 7.5j rim???

Car bibles says a 235 should be on a 8-9.5 rim but anyone squeezed one on a 7.5???

A bit too wide for a 7.5J rim. It'll fit, but you'll get more sidewall flex then you would want.

Wouldn't have thought it would be that much of a problem myself, there's lots of cars with 225s on 7.5J rims (it's factory fit on many high-performance AMG models, for example)

It's only an extra 5mm on each side of that, I'm sure there must be other cars that run 235 section tyres on 7.5J rims or thereabouts.

It does seem to be standard fitment on some cars ie some BMW's and TVR's it seems , i really dont think i'll notice the handling difference with my barge

They fit fine dont seem too squeezed

Really happy with the wheels AMG ebay copies but suit the car well and alloy wheels direct were very helpful and gave advice even though i didnt buy the wheels from them
