    How cheap is cheap?
These come out of China with many different names and many different prices.. And as you can get a good, known, make for not much money, it would have to be cheeeeeeeeeeep!!

If you don't have GPS fitted, but you have a smart phone, you can get CoPilot for less than £30 and a mount for less than a tenner.. I would imagine that this would be more reliable than the GPS on this.. (Or there are even FREE GPS suites on android that do an "ok" job)

I don't want it for the nav option thats just a feature of it.

I want one to replace the Audio 10 and be able to upgrade it to DAB and DAV plus the fact it will look better than the single cd player.

    Buy a proper unit.

The C Class takes a decent double din well looks wise.
I couldn't live with the ZX Spectrum looking GUI on those Chinese models, plus they tend to sound crap as well.

    Pioneer X3500DAB double din unit.....

The new App Radio 3 is Android.

Also the Sony XAV-601BT is Android as well.

    What handset are you using?

Also have the Alpine ICS-X7 and the new JVC double din units as well, which are meant to be pretty decent.

That particular JVC pictured doesn't have DAB, but the Pioneer 3500DAB does - and you can add a navigation unit to it at a later date if required.
The JVC KW-DB60ATE is DAB, double DIN and you can plug in either ipod or android to play stored music, or just a USB pen stick.
I replaced the Audio20 in my CLK with this unit and it sounds an incredible amount better now!
Remember to cost in the double-din fascia, wiring kit, unit to use the can-bus, steering controls etc too, whatever unit you go for.

DAB is a real issue, so many decent head units out there but many without DAB.

Now I have lived with DAB I couldn't be without it, however, I do think I could have one of the connects2 bolt on units or similar.
One that displays the dab stuff on your RDS tuner, not ideal but I could live with it.

    Connects2 CTDAB-2 Universal DAB Tuner

I only listen to 5 live, 5 Live Extra and Jazz FM on DAB anyway, and leave it on 5 Live 99% of the time, so if that was just another FM Preset that would be fine.

Ideally I want the Dynavin d99 but don't want to fork out £600, I don't like the look of many after market units hence why the dynavin is appealling as it keeps the OEM look.

Problem with the Dynavin is it sounds pants and the graphics once you get passed the flashy home screen or horrid.

    This is the Radio...
