Surprised its not been mentioned yet...

Anyway ive been watching it and so far the thing that stands out for me is that no one else apart who was present in the bedroom mentions the presence of the propofol bottle in the saline bag... weird huh?

The professionals who were so detailed on everything else say they saw the saline bag and yet no mention of the bottle inside. And why didnt wither side bring this up in questioning the paramedics?

Im guessing the seceurity guards have all colluded... they are long time friends and have had plenty of time to form their own opinions and (either consciously or not) plant things into their memories that may or may not have been there.

Sorry to those who arent interested but I find this case fascinating.

Jackson obviously had serious addiction problems which probably was'nt helped by the doctor indulging him, all this rewriting of Jackson as some kind of victim is just an attempt by his family to cover us his previous crimes against children, it's all very sad and disgusting.

I thought this thread might vere off.... for the record I dont believe any of that stuff with the children.. and im not a blind fan of his, just thinking rationally.

The media cannot be trusted... last night I was listening to the live feed on Sky Ipad and on the main sky TV channel they were putting their own take on the witnesses statement and it was a far cry from what was really being said.

e,g. Witness says Dr Murray did not initially reply to his questions about drugs and medical history... I read into this that the Doctor was busy trying to save jacko..

What do the press say... Dr Murray withheld vital life saving information!! Hello!!!? the guy was a little tied up at the time!

e.g. Witness says Dr Murray was tidying away the medical equipment, bottles etc into a bag.
Press: Dr Murray was discarding vital evidence into a bin liner

I do agree that I think he was addicted though..

Shocking medical negligence-shows how lax private medicine is in the states using propofol as a home sedative !
jackson was clearly an unstable character -but his death was preventable!
This Doc needs to be barred and jailed

You cannot help but hear bits and bobs about it. Tweeting from the Court Room, very odd. Big sister dressed like a pop star every day whilst attending an investigation about the death of her brother. Where is the respect in that?

Pay no attention to the press and be uninformed.

Pay attention to the press and be misinformed.

Somebody famous said something like that once and I think they were bob-on.

Edit.
Found it in my own post in "More Jokes!"

newspaper you are misinformed."

i suspect that:

1. Mr Jackson was not a victim of anything other than his own unfortuante addictions.
2. His position of power and wealth aggrevated the situation - I am sure his private doctor was breaking many rules/regs/guidelines etc, but all at Mr Jacksons request.
3. If it were not this doctor then it would have been another one - there are many stories of wealthy americans paying private doctors to prescribe medication unethically/illegally.
4. The chance of this trial actually getting to any real 'truth' - nevermind helping change a dysfunctional system - is approximately nil.

If I may be slightly cynical, could there be a large insurance policy somewhere that does not pay out on suicide?

Just sayin' :thumb:

Interesting. Pays out on murder/manslaghter but not on immediate evidence of drug abuse.

Yes we have all heard the stories that the chap had debt issues and the concerts were his only way back into the black.

Who knows the truth...

Wasn't he tried & found innocent on those charges? What info are you privy to that eluded the L.A. District Attorney's office?

If I remember correctly, didn't the charges 'get dropped' ie he paid for their silence?

I don't believe he was a nonce per se, just someone that tried to live his childhood through others because he didn't have one of his own.

Power and money corrupts, the truth will be clouded by the sums of money that have and will change hands around this. I'm sure his private physician was paid plenty to provide access to the drugs Michael was probably addicted to. I'm sure the truth we are presented will not be the truth that stands.

That was only during the tour... its not as much as you may think. I hear the NHS pays certain specialists around £2-3K per day if they are called in on short notice..

Elvis Presley had the same problem. He too had a "tame" physician. One quoted factor in his death was "polypharmacy" where he was taking certain drugs to help a condition and then taking others to counteract the effect of the first ones. The resemblance is uncanny. My guess is Jackson had taken some hypnotic or narcotic analgesic drugs [ either of which would be central nervous system depressants ] without the knowledge of his doctor just prior to the Propofol administration . The effect of the combination was to suppress his breathing and circulation and prove fatal. Tragic accident waiting to happen. The doctor is culpable for the environment where these drugs were readily "to hand " for Jackson but Jackson himself had an equal degree of culpability. The situation is not the open and shut case the prosecution is attempting to paint with Jackson the "innocent" victim. This does not detract from the fact that Jackson paid a higher price than anyone in this sorry state of affairs.:(

Which in turn isn't that much, when you consider that senior management consults are routinely charged out at similar daily rates, if not more.

Allegedly (now I could be wrong) Michael Jackson weighed 8 to 8.5 stone when he died. His diet mainly consisted of sugary sweets, cakes and other 'treat type' foods. Could it be that Michael Jackson himself could not take care of himself, but since the doctor was prescribing (possibly over prescribing) it is simply coincidental that the drugs caused his unfortunate death?

He was malnourished and his body gave up. But they have to find a scapegoat and show that someone has been punished.
