As it says above, specifically a 7901 and 7906 .....

Looking to put a classic Alpine head unit of the correct era into the whale maybe ...

Have seen the above for sale , but just wondered specs, i know they won't play MP3's as they are first gen players , but they look soooooooo cool.....
 
ive got all the old Alpine catalogues at home (sad i know) i`m back home friday, so i`ll try and scan them in at work for you...
 
Thats one of the ones im looking at ....... :)

the specs aren't that detailed though.... i love the look of the old skool alpines....

Mate, before that was even born i had a Pioneer KEX-M800 ... one of the first flip front tape players.....no onboard power.... bass , mid and treble controls....

those were the days..... i can't find a piccy of one though ... :(

Remember them ?

Sadly i put it in my ex-girlfriends car.... then we split up ..... an heirloom lost forever ... :(

I used to have a Kenwood KRC951RDS in my 3ltr capri in 1987.
See if you can find a pic of one of them.

haha KLP have you tried using the DEXP99, it was a mare !

those pics bring back memories haha! the old sound off days! chesea cruise etc :) oh yeah and the ICEMAN ;)

It certainly is but once you've set it up properly its one of the best sounding head units. I know the menu can be fiddly but i've got seperate bass remotes so won't have to be using the head unit features too much. Also accessing it via the remote is a piece of cake!

The good thing with those old stereo's was that if someone tried to rob you , you could beat them with the stereo ....... :crazy:
