Hello members a long shot but wondering if anyone know anything about this C63 GX13XGW for sale. Mercedes C Class C63 AMG C CLASS 4dr Auto Shaks Specialist Cars Ltd -| Quality Used Cars in West Yorkshire

I have been keeping an eye out and this one has been constantly up for sale for the past 2 yrs on and off. wondering if there was something dodgy about the car.

done a vin check cant see a LSD fitted as mentioned in the options I have lost touch of the option list since 2009. so unsure what the p30/31 packages contain

looking to get back in the c63 ......

thanks

I know one thing about it. It's bloody expensive. There are cars with the same speck cheaper from Main Dealers. Just looks on MB used AMG

I have read some dreadful things about the company. Might be worth doing a google search on the company.

P30 didn't come with red brake calipers and the increase output power. But it had alcantara steering wheel/2 pcs rotors/LSD/sport suspension. Some came without LSD between the transition from P30 to P31.
P31 introduced the red calipers/increased power/delimiter with still 2pcs rotors/alcantara steering wheel + CF spoiler/trim. LSD became an option and this package lost the sport suspension. But the P31 engine is supposed to have a better engine with forged and weight saving internals.

They have some stock list!

Have to agree. I bought the exact same car minus the LSD and HK with 5,600m on it for nearly £5k less.

It was also a indie dealer.

I don't think it is as clear as that mate, I have the PPP with the red calipers & titanium inlet etc but the bill of sale is noted as P30.

OP,

Unfortunately a lot of sellers note LSD & PPP with the only real way of checking by pics is the titanium inlet. A lot of people fit the carbon spoiler and paint the calipers red, i've even seen the alcantara steering wheel on a non-pp/ppp car.

As for the LSD that only way to tell is to turn off the traction control and nail it, if you have a set of No. 11's its got one or lift the rear of the car and rotate a wheel by hand, if the other wheel spins the same way you have an LSD, if it spins the opposite you have a regular diff.

I also have heard funny stories about this place defo google, I think there was something on m3 cutters.

Yes also it is very pricey I bought a coupe same mileage similar spec for 38k from a main dealer 4 months ago.

The PPP saga continues.

I have a 2012 build C63. according to the data card it has the following options

P30 AMG Performance Package Plus
923 Increased Power Version
U70 Red Brake Calipers
U47 Carbon Fiber Boot-lid Spoiler.

I also have the alcantara steering wheel but no mention of option 471 which is the LSD.

I carried out the manual test for the LSD and got this result.

Looks like the diff locks but then releases after a bit. Got the same result twice in a row.

I'm not convinced this is a valid test for this vintage of Merc.

I get a pair of 11s on mine with ESP off and I don't believe I have an LSD - I suspect the remaining traction control, which isn't fully disabled until in dyno mode - is doing something clever still.

Another test is parking with one wheel on tarmac and another on mud or grass and driving off. LSD should grip and go and not just spin the wheel on the grass - however, the above applies.

I guess the spinning one rear wheel and seeing what the other does is the only sure-fire way...

Gonna call around to my buddy who has a ramp tomorrow and settle it.

LSD+ Limited Slip Diff
That means that manually turning it will not show anything. It should kick in after a short period when one wheel is spinning much faster than the other. ie it "limits" the slip?

I've seen this advertised before, on eBay or Autotrader I think.

It's not my taste, could be a cheap BS looking body kit. Personally, I'd avoid it and buy a good standard car, unless pimping your car is your thing?

It could also be genuine BS parts. I've seen a few of the American forum guys that have had this conversion and it's bloody expensive. I think the car looks good but the price is way too high. Looks like the seller is trying to recoup what he has spent on the conversion.

Just remember that MB dealers are offering a two year warranty on all used C63's at the moment. Anything from an indi will only come with the remainder of the factory warranty. When I was looking a few weeks ago some indi prices were higher than MB dealers. I bought mine from MB Retail in Manchester, it wasn't a bargain but it was a fair price and I get the two year warranty.

BS was never available in estate or saloon, just coupe, so at least the rear must be a non genuine kit.

thanks ... I saw a c63 on the internet at Mercedes ashford... ticked the boxes. gave a call spoke to the sales rep briefly as I was out said he would call me today and email me specs as I was unsure what the performance pack contained.

nothing so far ....so I called back to leave my details again... I love the cars but the interaction and dealing with the sales rep just puts me off
