I needed some dampers (aka shock absorbers) for the Renault, and thought I'd get a pair of Sachs.
Browsing the usual sites, I came across this one:
Online car parts: Buy cheap auto spare parts, vehicle and motor autoparts direct at reduced prices
From their payment processing set-up, they seem to be a small company, and their contact details show that they are affiliates with a German parts supplier.
I placed the order yesterday at 15:45. The package landed at my doorstep at lunchtime today.
So good service, and the price was very reasonable as well. Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised when the Delivery Note that came with the package was issued by 'ZF Services UK Ltd' - it would seem that the retailer is acting as broker of some sort. The point is that the shocks are originals straight from the manufacturer.
So (based on my single experience) I can recommend them as an alternative to the usual sources.
