So I'm around Bank/Bank Station for a while... and can't find reasonable lunch!

Yesterday I went to Crussh, which is a place I quite like... ended up spending £10 for a sarnie and a drink...

Any advice on good places to eat which don't cost that much?

Also, I've been tempted to ride in... any ideas on motorbike parking near here? Several sites suggest there's parking all over the place... I can't find it!!!

Ended up going to Tesco (was looking for some motobike parking bays... found a few, but my are they crammed!). Lunch is a bit measly today as I picked up a healthy microwavable thing... only to find that my office doesn't have a microwave yet!

Will try spitalfields tomorrow, thanks! :)

lunch in the city is never cheap.. all those palces have massive rents and have to pay their overheads just from weekday lunch time trade.

The only way you can save is to go to a supermarket or take your own lunch.

When i totalled up how much I was spending on food and coffee per month i very quickly started making my own lunches.

oh... motorcycle parking is free in most of those underground car parks.

otherwise its a case of getting in early to get those side street bays.

In terms of food, ah well, that is a problem with that in th CIty because it veers between extremes.

However, Piccalo bar at the far end of Gresham Street (near the junction with St Martin's Le Grand) worth visiting, as witnessed by the constant presence of black cab drivers.

Otherwise K10 in Copthall Avenue or Wagamama's (next to what will always be known to me at least as the NatWest Tower) in Old Broad Street because you can just graze a bit. But get there early (like 11.45) or be prepared to wait.

Fuzzy's grrub is no more... at least, not the one on cornhill street I used to goto!

Re parking, warked around ALL the solo bays in my area today... wow they are crammed! In some places, bikes were triple and quadruple parked in! I was shocked... I think I'll be parking at the London Wall underground parking... looks free :)

Now, hopefully it'll be sunny tomorrow!

Brings back memories. When I worked in the city, M&S on the junction of Gracechurch Street and Lombard Street was my usual lunchtime stop off.

    It's a car - just a car!
You could try the Oak Inn.

...Oh sorry, that's the Oak at Bank in the New Forest - a million miles away from that dreadful place called London! :dk:

(Well worth a visit though, if you want a ride out on the bike!)

I always parked my bike in Whites Row which is a short walk from Bishopsgate and there are loads of places over that way for lunch too.
