anyone ordered from German Ebay sellers?

I bought a Bluetooth SAP cradle a few months ago, saved £150 on the dealers list price:bannana:

Despite being a regular ebayer, My heart was in my mouth as I paid for the item. Yet again though, ebay restored my faith in human nature.

Bizarrely the best way of sending payment to Germany is by post - just put the Euro notes (which you can buy at the Post Office) in an envelope and use the Royal Mail £4-odd service to send the cash insured

The rest of Europe can send Euro transfers for €1 - but not the UK, of course

HSBC (Well First Direct) will electronically transfer money in Europe Free I do it regular for e bay purchases. Never had a problem with German e bay they are honest and it always comes spot on time as someone pointed out their Post Office puts ours to shame, where they won't take a transfer I use the Euro notes in a registered insured envelope but also have a Euro check book as I used to spend a fair time working away in Europe all these were benefits of the HSBC Pluss account (and still are I think)?

But back to the OP German e bay never had a prob
