Just to ask is anyone running on 19" 285 tyres on the rear of their E55K. wondering if they would fit my own car. My wheels will be 9.5J 19" ET32.

Trowled through some US forums, some information, but not all. I have OEM 19" split rims ET31 with 275's on at the moment, and they seem fine but not sure that additional width tyre would fit without contacting the wheel arch.
Anyone running 285's if so what offset are your rear wheels.

CLS 55 standard fit rear tyres is 285, with 9.5 wheels.

if your offset is per factory, you should be fine.

There's a guy running 19" CLS wheels on an E Class with 285/255 tyres. I'll see if I can find his photos for you.

Here's my S211 with 19" CLS wheels and 275/245 tyres (recommended E Class sizes).

I wouldn't go any wider with CLS wheels or you'll be outside the arches.

Hi Ricky, mine like your has 275`s at the moment, i have a set of 285`s sitting in the garage but like you was wondering if they will fit.

I've got 285/18s from an SL on the rear, they fill the arch nicely

If you are looking for tyres that you will also have with the car lowered and for track use I would not go for 285 unless you get your rear arches rolled.

SL rear offset is near identical to CLS rear offset, so your 211 will be fine as SPX's is

My CLS wheels are ET 25 (front), ET28 (rear), hence protruding slightly further out.

That car has at least a 5cm gap between the wheel and the arch, Ricky is having his lowered so won't have the same clearance.

Best thing I would suggest Ricky is wait until you get the car back this week and check the current clearance as your ET on the new wheels are almost identical to the current ones you can measure easily how much room you have.

Again considering how hard you will drive it and with it getting lowered it could be tight.

Id tend to agree with paul, when mines on "decked" mode, with the 275`s there is hardly any room! we can compare notes at Acids :)

Don't forget my lowering session Alps :thumb:.
