Years ago a chap in East London had OBO 110X on a Merc and it read O B*LL*X' - he was taken to court for it. A colleague had A10 RAL on his wife's car to read A1 0RAL. As a young boy walking to school I used to regularly see 500 MPH on one of those old royal blue AC Invacar three-wheelers - the driver must have had a good sense of humour.
