You are absolutely right of course, a Maserati with the plate EG05 WAG is recognised in the DVLA vehicle enquiry. It looked remarkably like EGO SWAG though, spaced like that and all! Not sure the guy behind the wheel would have appreciated being a WAG as per DVLA version
