Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Saw this for sale last week....... 'key 1' my last name is 'keye' my knickname is keyi. Price 48k. Fist time i saw this for sale was 20 years ago and it was up for 52k

Back in 2007 I could have bought Co07 KEE and various other versions like Co07KIE for £399
I have seen both for sale since a few times for up to £4k ... Of course do they actually sell for that.
I offered £3k for 75 PC .. Clearly too low but that all its worth to me.

too low u should try 5k is about right for 2 x 2

Have to disagree. It all depends on how popular/common the digits are and therefore sought after. As I know to well, the AH plates with 2 digits demand stupid money as they are all in circulation and no more are to be released by the DVLA (which is the cheapest place to buy, at source). Should imagine 75 PC could command 12K all day long. PP are always a bone of contention with most, at the end of the day, they are worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for them.

FYI 75 PC sold at DVLA auction for £7100 (plus VAT & Fees), so approx £8625 in 2004.

I saw this on the weekend while on my travels...

Forget all the AMG55/63 etc rubbish on plates.....that has to be the very best plate I have ever seen for an AMG (or any other V8 for that matter), most PP bring a glare from ordinary drivers......that one will make them smile, perfect!

How does WHOOSH come about, got to be show plate or very fiddled with!

So is EN20 WHO as it a few years before we get '20' plates

Have you not heard of Pre-Registered cars? :D

To be honest I didn't pay any attention to that one, just at the Tesla plate.

Hmmm good points both

I'm guessing a very naughty manipulation of W110 OSH on the Tesla.

As for the Lambo I'm stumped. If it was a show plate then why not just get a Z ? Probably to promote discussions like this !

D351RED - desired on a red Audi TT in park royal

When I used to live in Bucks, I often saw DE51RED on a red Vauxhall VX220 not long after the plate came out - which I think was owned by the local Vauxhall dealer or similar.

Trying their luck? You'd need to get them both valued now to compare but I guess X prefix sell more easily than V?

My guess is entering into the spirit of having a realistic number plate.

The x121 key was advertised in the sun news paper. Cant remember what the company name was

DE51RED belongs to Vauxhall UK. They put it on the press cars from their high performance range, most recently it has been on various VXR8s and a Maloo.

You'd have to get your V equivalent valued now by the same company to get an idea of it's current worth against the X version - things may have changed in the 9 years you've had it.

Don't forget though that putting it up for £4.5k doesn't mean selling it for that and it might be that the same registrations company put a similar value on both which may not be close to £4.5k...

I have my perfect plate, but my second in line family plate keeps coming up on ebay but i think its to expensive.
it was on for £1950 +£105 for about the last 9 months. now its up for £2350 + £105.:wallbash::dk:

i've offered him a grand + the £105:D

i dont even think its worth that to anyone else but me!

its AYT8N which i value around £750,as its pretty bland really, but my surname is AYTON.

My plate is MAT 8N for Matt Ayton.

Your story just reminded me of a plate I saw years ago .... K8 ADE ... The perfect plate for Kate Adie. I often wondered if she owned it.
Sometimes plates mean more than meets the eye.
The one I really want is worth nothing and I still can't get it :( (RRX 996Y )

So they have advertised it for £400 more than it was 9 months ago and you have offered £1350 less than its currently advertised for :dk:

As long as you are the only person with that surname, reckon you are in with a good chance.

 C4fe w is on my ML
