Not all of that article is true as it only has prices for plates bought directly from DVLA. F1 was the most expensive plate prior to this but is not mentioned.

Speaking of F1, there is an article stating that Khan has not authorised Regtransfers to sell it, yet it sits on their site for £10,009,995 although they may have covered themselves by removing the 'buy' button and only being able to 'enquire'. Either that or he isn't telling the truth

I was driven around a few times in F1......it was then on a Ford Scorpio, the chariot of Chairman of ECC at the time......good times, it never failed to get a third look when pulling up anywhere
