Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Yes, that probably must be! Is that a diplomatic car (hence the escort)?

It looks like it should be, but I don't think it is. I happened to remember where I saw it last, and was near there this afternoon - sure enough, there it was. Last time there were a couple of suited heavies standing by it, so I decided against trying to get a photo.

There's no embassy nearby, and it doesn't have the tell-tale flag-post holders on the front wings (so it's not Spinal's, either).

Someone else has also clearly been sniffing around it, as I found this on YouTube when I got home:

Seems they've picked up on the fact that it's got a non-standard tax disc (which I didn't notice, and don't recognise).

What sort of road fund licence is this? Strange also that MOR 1 D is not on the registration database. Seen near Cadogan Square, London. Can someone please explain.

Here is the reply from DVLA:
I can confirm that the maximum amount of road tax that anyone can purchase at one time is 12 months. That registration number that you have quoted does not match a registration number we have provided to a vehicle.

If you suspect this vehicle to be used legally, you will need to report this issue to the local police station.

I hope this helps.

Curiouser and curiouser.
Hope you didn't spend too much time finding about MOL 10! Interesting nonetheless!

It's all part of the fun. :)

Must acknowledge that Conquistador originally uploaded that photo onto Platewave.

Saw it in a Waitrose carpark in Hertfordshire about 6 months ago. If I'm honest, all I really noticed about the gent (looked in his mid-60s) driving it was his rather snazzy stripy shirt.

4 PRN - Audi Q7
HTK 23 -VW Phaeton
5 GAG - BMW M5
KIA XT - KIA Sorrento

This morning, saw:

'W1XXY' as one word on a Jeep Grand Cherokee
W12 PHT on a W12 Phaeton
'RE54FAZ' as one word with the 4 made into an 'A' on a blacked out Impreza with an exhaust I could fit my head into.

Spotted yesterday afternoon near Snaresbrook, F1T VW on a black Golf GTI

R6LLs on a RR Phantom this morning in Wimbledon

Presumably it's S111 TTY, with a screw-head between the first two 1s.

What with that and the dogging, you're not painting your area in a very good light. :D

OK checked it today.

Is in fact S111 HTY with a screw head in between the first two 1's. Not a good look outside the local primary school.
