Depending on the model 1600kg is going to be roughly the same as the car's kerbweight, which with a high-sided trailer probably isn't ideal from a stability POV?

Do you need the full 1600kg or is that the max weight of your trailer?
I have a C250 W205 (last one W204) and tow a 1400kg caravan with no problems at all.
Only strange thing is that the auto box leaves it in 1st & 2nd too long, but I just click the paddle to switch up.
1600kg should be fine, although legally you should keep below the kerbweight mass of the vehicle (which is 1595kg on my vehicle)
