Anyone tried driving experiences?

I sincerely hope you reported this guy as it is people like him that make the rest of us look bad.
I just presumed that they had my money & therefore wouldn't give a damn.
If you have any contacts there, the instructor's name was Wayne; the other instructors were superb and helped me do incredibly well in the Gallardo & 4200 but I won't go back in case I get the pratt again.

I will add to the chorus of approval

Recently did a ferrari day at Thruxton (late birthday present)- drove a Cayman for a few laps then polished that off with taking the ferrari out for 4 laps where I managed to push it over 160 through Church!!!!

Great fun

do it

I don't know anyone there but will ask about my fellow instructors. If you are not happy always report it as most of us work freelance and are paid by the day any complaints get taken very seriously and always get fed back to you. I have had a few made against me but that was beacause I would not allow a driver to drive beyond their capability but in these situations it has to be safety first, I have a wife and daughter to go home to and don't want to get wiped out by someone who has not yet had enough training to drive fast or won't listen to what you are telling them, but I would never grab the wheel  .

Wifes always going on about getting a Porsche for her 40th not long to go now:D and i saw an advert for driving experiences where you get to drive a few supercars for about £250 and though excellent pressy for swmbo.

So has anyone tried them or been on one similiar?, she has had a look at the ones at Brands but you get hardly any driving time.

My wife also wants a Porsche for her 40th. She was 38 this month. She said she'd give me a heads up so I can start saving for it. If your wife is anything like mine she'll have the driving experience, love it, thank me sweetly and still ask for her Porsche!!

Mrs D's mom wanted a Porsche some years ago, and was delighted when she saw one waiting for her on her birthday. Explaining it was only hired was a difficult job for Mrs D's dad!!

Years ago I said I'd get Mrs D an ML for her 30th. I happened to have the day off work on her 29th birthday, so on top of her presents, I ended up on a costly shopping trip. To make matters worst we happened to pass an MB specialist on the way home, saw an ML with AMG bodykit, and promptly reminded me of what I'd said.

We ended up buying a different one the next day. DOH!! A year early too.
I said we'd aim for an Aston for her 40th - if prices carry on dropping at the current rate, that one might come in early too!! :D

Palmersport all the way - they sometimes have places on undersubscribed corporate days. It's dear but the experience is amazing and the tuition is designed to get you to go as fast as you can, not like a lot of the lap limited / rev limited experience days.

And you get to go in a single seater (even us above average sized people) which is ace. Bad weather does not stop play either - Learning track craft on a circuit with nine other Porsche 911 noobs in streaming rain is a non-stop fit of spins and out-loud laughs.

Would totally agree driven at Bedford Autodrome loads of times, caterhams in the wet, the most fun you will ever have not cheap but good, but have to say it runs a second to a full day at Knockhill in Scotland a quarter of the price and you get serious track time and can drive flat out or as fast as you are capable in ferraris, jags, lambo's

You can't get better value for money in the UK and you always get the chance of Alan McNish as an instructor if you get your timing right !

Had a day at Silverstone last year. Ferrari 360 and Lotus Exige.
Lotus was the most fun, very light and seemed to be glued to the road.
Thats me at full chat in the Lotus, and just climbing into the Ferrari.
Good fun, going to do it again, probably next spring.
