Hi,
The wings on my S124 are rusting through as they all seem to do. I'm looking to do something with them before next winter comes and was wondering whether anyone had experience using pattern part wings as my budget is tight to non-existent.
If anyone has any wings they are no longer needing and are in the Yorkshire area please drop me a line.
Thanks for looking
Toby

Hi, i used pattern wings from GSF which were £29 each, and then had them sprayed up and fitted to the car....looked good, they can be seen on my white coupe below

I was tempted by the sheer cost of pattern parts, but the dread of rust coming back put me off.

I did wander at the time how much it would cost to galvanise some pattern wings, but didn't really investigate much further as I found some genuine ones soon afterwards.

I wander if anyone here has galvanised some wings before having them painted? :dk:

Anyone? idea of cost?

Is there any difference between the wings on all w124's pre/post facelift in 89 and 93?
thanks

W124's all have the same basic wings. The only options were the deletion of side repeaters and the vent on the multi valve diesels. But the estate, saloon, coupe and cabrio have the same wings.

The wings are the same for all 124 (except 500) BUT the later wings had rolled edges to allow fatter wheels to be fitted.
