Apparently Duran Duran are still around....

Two of them were being interviewed on TV last year and they were saying how annoyed they were with people associating them with the "greed is good" culture of the 1980's and grumpily pointed out that it was nothing to do with them and they were all about the music.

Up til then I hadn't realised how far up their own @rses they were. They were a decent pop band in their day.

Seems an odd choice for this gig though. Is Shakin' Stevens playing support?

Apparently Duran Duran are still around....

Not for very much longer if the stories from The Rum Runner are true...

Problem is Le Bon couldn't sing in the first place.

Sounds as if selection might be based on Seb Coe's or David Cameron's CD collection? Since "gettin' it down with the homies" is probably not their strongest suit it might explain a singular lack of black musicians in the line up. One might venture perhaps a trifle unrepresentative considering many of Britain's Olympic hopes may also be black? I hope Paolo Nutini all wear kilts.:p

It was one of those mwah mwah darling kisses, I think, or at least that's what I tell myself, when I think it should have been me :D
