So, my question is... are the google translations useable? Or can someone contribute something I can use?

Thanks!

Dude, that's what Embassies are for.

You get the RIGHT forms, CORRECTLY filled out, with OFFICIAL stamps on them.

Nothing else even comes close.

My hovercraft is full of eels.

Unfortunately - some of the "countries" we are crossing don't have embassies anywhere near the UK. Similarly, some are not countries...

Fiches are in common use throughout Saharan and Sub-Saharan Africa by overlanders and rally drivers. They are not used just for border crossings, but also for road checkpoints and other official malarky... THey usually work wonders, and people are told to carry 30-50 copies, with English-French-Arabic translations.

That said, they are usually quite badly made, and I can't find a template that includes Arabic... they all have English French (and some even spanish portughese) but not arabic... I have the English and French covered... not the Arabic...

Anyone?

The only Arabic I know would definitely not get you out of trouble with local officials :D

That is a worry with getting a translation from a forum :p I'll end up with a fiche that insults the border guard, says I'm american and asks him to sell his mother :p

"Here's 40 Marlboro so that we can remain friends, God willing" would be what I'd translate first.
