Are E280 AMG That thirsty ???

Been offered a 99 E280 AMG at a good price, nice car ect , but some of our freinds in the trade claim they drink the fuel ?? the official is 29mpg urban, we undersatnd about the way you drive the heavy right foot ect , but just wondered if you have one , owned one what sort of mpg you got ?

If not we know of a E300td !!!! for the same price thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum.There was no such thing as E280 AMG,maybe is only got the bodykit alloys etc.

I'd take the 300TD if fuel economy is a consideration. Brilliant diesel engines and have decent power too. Should hold it's value too, a very popular engine for the W210
