Are my tires interchangeable?

Hello,

I have a W203 2001 C320 Mercedes Benz that came fitted with 7J x 16 H2, 1.46 inch (37mm) wheels,tire size; 205/55R17 91h . I am looking at replacing them with W211 8Jx17H2 ET38 A211401 36 02 (HT xR)wheels, tire size; 245/45R17 . Will they fit on my Mercedes??

Hi the bits you need to take in to consideration are! you are going to need to change the wheel bolts as a 211 is an M14/R14 bolt and the 203 is M12/R12 bolt so you will need a M12/R14 bolt so that the wheel fits safely. As to the offset of ET38 this is not a recognised size by Mercedes for the 211 but Brabus do offer wheels this size for the 203 but with an offset of ET30 so you will probably need to use a 7-8mm spacer all round to get correct fitment. Sorry forgot to say the tyre sizes recommended by Brabus for this wheel size and offset is front 225/45R17 and rear 245/40R17.
