My wife's RAV4 passed it's French Contrôle Technique (MOT) EXCEPT for - what we always thought were factory tinted windows for the front seat passengers. Turns out they are films, stuck onto the glass. So hairdryer to the rescue.

Hi Stephen, I can't answer your question directly. All we were told was that until recently the level of tint for the front passenger windows would have been acceptable, but now is not, the poster on the wall show no tint permissible on the front windows at all.
