Hello,

I have a 1996 w210 E36. It has the M104 6 cylinder engine which has developed the famous oil leak. I will be doing the head gasket. I need to know if anyone out there has changed there MB head bolts to ARP studs on there M104 engine. It is one of the upgrades I would like to do this engine. Also has any member used a MLS (Multi Layer Steel) head gasket. Some guidance would be great!
 
There is no need for the ARP bolts. The OE ones are good as long as they are not stretched.

I think the head gaskets are difficult to get for the 36 104 engine. Even genuine ones but its been a while since I've done a 36 104 one. Done plenty of 104's though.
