ARRGHH!! Help please! VIN issue....

Hi all - I just went to a few VIN decoding sites for example:

and it says that my car was built in Germany in 2002. I bought it from new from the dealer in may 2004. He told me it was built in march 04 - I was clear about this because I didnt want a car which had been sitting around for ages.
Can anyone clear this up because the slip that came with the manual and bits has of FOK DUE DATE of 03/19/04 and a VPC JOB CARD which was printed on 03/17/04 at 16:07 ????
This is a c class and I thought (saloon) they were made in S Africa now??

It's upto you, but I'd remove that VIN pretty damn sharpish ...

I think that the US VIN decoders aren't that accurate. I seem to recall a thread sometime about them. In other words, I wouldn't worry.

If you do remove your VIN, PM it to Shude who I think will be able to give you more info on your car.
