Hello, looking to buy a C Class Coupe with this combination. The advert states it is a leather combination, the dealer not sure and the brochure says it is all man made and not leather. Any advice on this please. If it's not leather then is it still a decent substitute?

Thanks Dan:bannana:

You could have three options at the time I believe. Cloth; artico (man made leather); and proper leather. Artico is not all that bad actually and I have it in my A Class. Its obviously not as nice or as good as the real thing though.

Ask to see the option codes on the sticker at the back of the service book for ultimate confirmation.

The name "Artico" says it's not leather, but a rather good synthetic copy.
"Alpaca" colour (grey) is available in both "Artico" and real leather. If you pop the VIN code into the Russian site's decoder it'll tell you exactly what you've got (plus other factory fitted options fitted).

The Artico will wear very well (i've seen cars with 200,000 + miles with no evident wear). Its not quite as nice to the touch as leather though. I'd go for the leather personally unless you've got lots of dogs/kids.
