Can anyone tell me just how bad the weather has been in Arundel for the last week please? Just been told that the post office in the High Street has been closed since last Tuesday afternoon - must have been very very bad in that case - either that or someone is stretching the truth a little bit???????

It wouldnt suprise me to be honest as it is on a hill.
Hopefully someone closer will respond soon for you. You could always ring up the post office and ask them.

Sounds likely, my sister works in Chichester and the weather there has been really bad, she didn't go in on weds, was sent home at lunchtime on Thurs & Fri cos trains were being cancelled (she couldn't get car off drive in Portsmouth!)

a couple of the main roads around Chichester are still closed, I'd guess that Arundel will be as bad.
At least it's thawing a bit down here now - if you are travelling I'd think that tomorrow will be fine
As for how bad it was, just outside Chichester they had over a foot of snow in two days

I live between Chi and Arundel. The office was shut for 3 days last week (opened on sat), however I really fail to see why as the weather around here was not that bad. Like most, the post office were using weather as an excuse not to come into work !
By the way we had exactly 7cm and I live 2miles away out in the country.
