Ok, had to get some tyres for the Ka ..... only budget cheapies as it's the runround ....

Went to Teddington Tyres , where i usually go , to find it has been sold and they don't do deals ;) anymore .....

Quoted £40.25 each for budget 165/65/13's  ....

Hmmmm ..

Went off and drove past ATS Euromaster at Hanworth , and thought 'i'll pop in ' ...... initial impressions were discouraging , lots of yoots and shaven heads around .... I asked a yoot anyway ...

Very helpful indeed , quoted £53.29 for two tyres (valves and balancing included ) .... popped back this morning 8.00am , the same yoots were there , couldn't have been more helpful , once again. Had a cup of tea while they were doing it ( was hungover ) and read T3 ....

20 minutes later , it was done , nice job.

So, all in all , first impressions don't count . They did a good job, were friendly and very helpful !

So ATS Euromaster , Good Work Fellas !! Thumbs Up ! :bannana:

I need a couple for the CE, usally use a local place but they can't do my camber :(

Strugling to find somwhere that will... Except the stealer that is 20 miles away and want £120

My local ATS has always been helpful. Certainly not the cheapest but usually OK on the fitting side. They even use use torque wrenches on the wheel nuts!

Any 4 wheel alignment rig should sort the camber out. You can do it yourself with a home made camber gauge.
Make one out of plywood or other material and a plumb line.

Ensure the car is on level ground and is level then touch the gauge to the wheel rim and see how much the plumb line deflection is from the vertical. Err.. camber is then measured.

Its just i am scrubbing the drivers side tyre out on the outside edge very quickly, so it could be tracking i guess??

Is the tread feathered or just worn out? Tracking will feather the tread whereas camber will simply wear it off. Another reason could be using the power steering too much when not moving.

The camber would have to be quite far out to scrub the outside of the tyre, are the suspension bushes and balljoints all good?
