Payment, delivery & collection - British Car Auctions

http://www.british-car-auctions.co...._Standard_Buyers_ Fees_Standard_July_2015.pdf

Take a mythical £20,000 Mercedes?

Buyers fee = £805

Fee to handle V5 =£26

Day insurance = £30

Fuel (to and from auction 2 cars) = £20

Rostrum cafe = £10

Total = £891

That's without your warranty cost, or wheel refurbs, dent removal and valet (or detail if you like) say another thousand? So nearly £1900. Still gives you a cheap car however but not as cheap as it looks on TV.

Hi All

First time post ;) I saw Aletank had posted this and thought id join in the chat as thats my site mentioned ;)

Also Alf, You have the fees correct, however i thought it would be interesting to post that most of the cars in the specialist sales are often grade 1 so dont need dent removal, wheel refurb etc (some do of course) but a lot are showroom ready.

I buy a lot of Mercs this way for clients and also pay traders premiums instead of the buyers premiums like you have mentioned above and they are a lot cheaper. It does give you a great saving on buying from a dealer however to give a balanced view a dealer can often include a warranty (often free) in the deal and that can be worth paying the extra after all they are a business and have overheads and need to make a profit and some people like that reassurance

p.s. i like the tenner added for the cafe ;)
Take a sandwich its healthier lol

The Flipping Cars .co.uk web site has now been updated with a Past Auction Prices database with drop down menus to search car makes/models , still new at the moment but promised it will grow/be updated !
A excellent resource, nothing like it on the net !
