Could some kind forum member tell me how to enter the 5 digit security code on this Becker unit? The RHS of the face plate has buttons 1 - 4 around the RDS button. How do I enter 5 digits?
Many thanks!
Sean.

Pop your email address on here, I'll email the users manual to you, and repost when I've done it so you can edit your email address out!

Chris, Thank you for your kind offer but I have the manual and it makes no mention of code entry. P14 states the car radio is protected against theft via the vehicle electronic system. Sean

Each digit is only 1-4, so key in each one until you have done all 5 digits.

Not so! My 5 digit code has a 5 and a 6 in it!
Sean

Try pressing the FM key to get the alternate keys so digits 5-8.

Page 4 of the manual I have does, using the right hand main button (the one that has FM, CD, CDC and AM on it).

Using the right hand control button enter each number of the code, and confirm this by pressing the control knob. After entering the correct numerical code push the right control knob for about 3 seconds. The radio mode starts.

I have the email ready to send, just need an address!

Hi,
The early models of this unit were protected by a security code but the later ones were coded to the cars chassis number I believe.
Is this a replacement unit for your car? As your car is a 203 I believe it is coded to the chassis. As far as making it work I think it can be activated by the STAR diagnostic system, but I,m not sure of this maybe someone else knows the procedure.

Sean, I've emailed the file to you, edit your email address out of your post!!
