Having to replace Audio 10 Head unit, fault on one side of speaker system, cant figure out how to safely remove walnut face plate, car is a 2001 S class, 220 chassis, searched for a thread but nothing has come up, anyone done this before? would like some help on this if possible dont want to damage anything.

Open the storage under the AC controls.

Remove the two rubber grommets.

Remove two screws

Remove storage area.

That should expose the concealed wood screws.

Thanks Miro

Well Miro done as you said, fitted my new Audio 10, quite an easy job when you know how, sounds great again, best part about it was won the Audio 10 on E bay for £11 plus post how cheap is that? cant beat a bit of DIY.
