Hey Guys -

I mentioned audio books a few months back on another thread and a few of you expressed an interest in discussing further. So here we are.

I've been listening to audio books in CD format and from Audible.co.uk, for some years now and they've transformed my reading experience. Choose a great narrator and a great book becomes a memorable performance, leading you to seek out similar author - narrator combinations.

My particular areas of interest are:

19th century political economy
19th and 20th century imperialism (Currently reading Toland's extraordinary The Rising Sun)
Hitchens, Dawkins and similar polemics
Political Biographies - Clinton, Campbell and so on

If you've read or listened to any books covering the above, then I'd be very interested in hearing your views, or other recommendations along similar lines.

I'll wait to see if anybody posts their reading experiences - no need to limit it to my areas of interest as I acknowledge that they are quite narrow - before posting any of mine.

Regards

Chris
