Audio level reduction on reversing

I find the MB instructions for my slc43 almost impenetrable (I am a chartered engineer btw). Is it possible to set (IE reduce) the volume level of the audio when reversing?

Press the volume down button on the steering wheel?

Do you want to audio output muted automatically when the car is put in reverse gear? Presumably so that you can better hear the beep from the parking sensors?

Not specific for your car, but on the latest iteration of E Class (according to Google) it's selectable on the Multimedia System as follows:

"Settings"...
"Assistance"...
"Camera And Parking"...
Should be the fourth option down
"Select Audio Fadeout During Warning Tones"
