Audio on TV Tuner Keeps Dropping

I have a DVD/MP3 player feeding into one of the auxilliary inputs on my TV Tuner. The last couple of days the audio has suddently stopped. If I pull over and change to TV everthing is fine and when I switch back the AV2, the input the DVD/MP3 Player feeds into, everything is fine again. What could be causing this?

Incidentally I have just discovered that while TV pictures are blocked while on the move, text screens are not. How daft is that?

Sounds strange.
When the sound drops out, does the picture drop out too? I mean, if you were to bring the car to a halt, would the picture still come up without the sound?

And what do you mean by text screens? I thought, regardless of what is playing on TV, AV1 or AV2, the picture goes out once car hits 5mph (or whatever the cut off is).

When the car comes to a halt the "picture", i.e the track information, is showing from the MP3 player but no sound until I switch to TV.

The teletext thing is true, it is even mentioned in the manual. Try it, select teletext and then start driving. It doesn't go blank.
