Hi
My W210 had a Mercedes Benz Audio 10 CD fitted. It had the useful function of being able to be switched on even when the ignition was not on - it then switched off after approx 30 minutes.
I've had a fancy new Kenwood unit installed to replace my standard MB unit. The fitter has wired a new power source to the unit that turns off when the ignition is off.
Question is: could i have wired my new unit using the old wiring? - ie is the ability to turn on without the keys in and power off after 30mins a feature that is built into the old MB unit or is it in the car ?
If its in the car, would this facility still work with my new Kenwood?
sorry about long question -- thanks
