Good evening. Not sure my headlamps are working correctly on Auto function. Car is a 2012 C Class W204 version with the dial switch providing either park lights (off), side lights or auto function.
When in Auto mode, my headlamps are staying on all the time even in bright sunshine, but during the day the dashboard lights are off.
If I put my hand over the sensor (top of windscreen), the dash lights come on and the headlamp intensity stays the same. (I did wonder if maybe they worked under reduced intensity during the day)
Im happy to replace the sensor, but as it sort of works i.e. dash lights come on and off, Im not sure if it will resolve the problem.
Any help greatly appreciated.
