Auto transmission bulb? is there such a thing

230TE, but mum had a new 230TE in 1984 (W123), (not the same one) mines a W124
Does the auto transmission lever have an illumination lamp, it is rather dark,
the car is a 1991 230 TE, if so can i replace it myself?

Yes, you need to remove the wooden trim panel, and the gear lever surround to get to it.
