This is a long shot, but has anyone ever used a place called "Autocentre"? They're just off the Watford Road, next to the Sudbury Swan roundabout, and about a three minute walk from my house ;-)
Their sign says "Specialists in Mercedes and BMW"; the local dealer who sold me my BMW had some work done on the car there, and they "seemed" to know their stuff - they got rid of all the niggles and I'm now very happy with the car. While I was there, I saw them working on a CL55AMG with a Star Diagnostics set up (Thinkpad laptop, breakout boxes, cables etc), so they definitely have the right equipment.
Because they're so close, I'm thinking of going there rather than to George Fraser next time I need some work done. But I'd be far more confident if someone has actually used them before!
