autoebid - any good or bad experiences?

No direct experience but a friend bought a volvo successfully using them. I tried them when buying my new Mercedes, but starting expected price was only marginally better than local dealer was offering.

If it helps, I used drivethedeal for my latest purchase, and that was very simple. Also looked at quotes on carwow and carfile, but no experience of using them to actually purchase.

Tried twice and failed both times to end the reverse auction or get tge price quoted.
Using dtd to buy instead
