Automatic window open - using key

Okay, really weird, just purchased the 2015 E250 CDI and when i hold - unlock on the key or lock i expect the windows to open automatically and close automatically. Really weird as it worked for me once and ever since it just will not work. Am i maybe doing something wrong? is there a setting i must action or hold the key in a certain place. please advise??

You have to hold the key really near the drivers door handle

If it's like my S210, you need to have line of sight of the IR unit on the door handle with the remote, and that obviously has a distance limit too.

Lots of people have found it to be very hit and miss although it seems to work okay for others. Bright sunlight falling on the sensor can stop it working.

Seldom worked for me so I've stopped even trying to use it.
