The warning above appeared in our 2015 E220D bluetec, checked the aux battery and it seems to be ok, shows 12.9 volts while removed from the vehicle,
Reinstalled the Aux battery and started the engine while monitoring the battery, it showed that the Aux battery was being charged ok, however after a short time the aux battery stopped being charged and the fault message reappeared in the dash, could it still be the battery or am I looking deeper?

I had a too high battery internal resistance fault code when I had to change the AUX battery. The battery voltage may be good but it drops too much at load. Reading codes would help.

I replaced the aux battery and everything went back to normal, there were no error codes stored but that may be due to my basic OBD scanner not picking them up
