Hi all
I am sure this has probably been posted somewhere before, so apologise in advance.
Having only owned my 2004 SL500 since Saturday, after driving it back up from London @110 mile drive, I started the car following morning and the electrical consumer offline notice was showing when tried to open roof. Left it running for ten minutes, sign went off and everything seemed ok again, roof worked etc.
Got backin today and exactly the same thing happened, so had to run engine for a bit longer to restore.
New auxiliary battery installed earlier this year according to invoices, so what might be the problem.???
I suppose I could just leave it on a trickle charge but surely they should last longer then a night.
Obviously a bit concerned as last thing I need is a repair job already!
Look forward to any answers
Thanks

Not getting enough use.

Are the batteries fully charged and holding?

I had similar issues but a new battery was fitted and all ok since. Though if car not run for a very long time I am sure the convenience functions will not be available for a while.

Do you have any other issues?

I have the same problem with a SL - it transpires that something is draining the battery. Unfortunately exactly what it is, is proving difficult to identify.

Where was the aux battery fitted because if it was mercedes it should still be under warranty

I would also check the post date of the battery as well. Just to make sure it is a new battery on there.

Thanks all

No other problems, just this (hopefully)
Will check date on battery and give it a trickle charge to see if that helps?
Will keep you posted
