Please can anyone tell me what to expect MPG wise for an e350d on a 67 plate. Long motorway run / short town trips. / towing a caravan.

Thanks in advance.

Can’t help with the caravan but at a steady 65mph you should see approximately 50mpg, a quicker 85mph will be 40mpg and around town will be 33mpg.

2015 W212 350D 9 speed.
A trip to the south of France via Switzerland. A mixture of Autoroutes and D roads. On the last day which was all 130kph on autoroutes it did just under 46mpg, and I do like to use the accelaration especially when joining traffic, it's fun!
Driving locally I get about 39mpg

Cheers Keith. Not done a motorway run yet. Mines currently doing 35mpg. That’s just short trips pootlin about. Hopefully do a proper run soon.

If I kept mine to 70, I would easily get 50mpg on a long motorway run.

I have a CLS 350d and my real world year average has been 34mpg, and that's actual pump measurements, not actually relying on the dash average.

On a long motorway run with a bit of stop start traffic it will sit happily in the 40's. I tried a hypermile exercise once and only once driving like my throttle peddle was wired to explosives if I pressed it too hard, and I managed to average 55mpg over an 80 mile journey round the M25 and up the M1. I don't think I ever once exceeded 60mph though!

E350d Bluetec estate. 30mpg around town. 47mpg on motorway.

Very impressive record.

Thanks. I do it to keep track of business mileage, but then I became mildly obsessed with tracking exactly what the car is costing to run, ie purchase price, fuel, servicing, repairs, insurance, depreciation etc. I'll probably do a full drains up 1 year of ownership post next month if serves to be of interest.
