Hi,

Does anyone know the best position to place Axle Stands when lifting the front of the car? One site describes placing them under the front chassis for the W210, is the approach for the C209 the same? Is there any way to identify the most appropriate place to position them on each side?

Thanks

Hi, there's some rubber recesses under the sills front and rear where the factory jack goes, you can use those if the supports on your stands fit the recess. If you have a trolley jack then there's a rubber puck sticking out of the front underside covers, and ta the back you can use the rear diff if you have some rubber to prevent damage. Hope this helps

On my C209 I use a trolley jack on the front central jack point under the engine and place axle stands at the forward jack points on each side.

Ice hockey pucks make good 'buffer pads' if needed, especially if cut to fit any recess.
