axle stands locations

I want to remove the alloy wheels from a 1998 E280 saloon (W210?) for
refurbishing.
Where is the recommended position for axle stands locations
A diagram would be helpful, is there any site which would show this.

just below the jacking points you'll find there are rubber blocks fixed to the sills - use those - they are perfect for the job and designed to take the weight of the car.

Or if it's easier, beg/borrow/steal a set of old wheels (steels etc) to put on whilst yours are being refurbed? Might save you some hassle.
