Back once again like the.... well buying W212 estate and advice needed

Hi All.

Its been a little while since posting as had been enjoying several years of pain free motorint with my s211 320cdi. Thanks to this forum I managed to sort the gearbox regularly and run the car with no problems to 250k and loved every moment of it. Dont care what the press says mine was a cracking car!

Now after trading it for a chrysler 300c that lasted a whole 4 months before I got shot of that particular lemon!

I have just agreed to by from a dealer an S212 250 cdi AMG sport 2012 with 50k miles and a full 6 Merc stamps in the book in Abyss Grey, and I cant wait to get back to E class owning after my short spell on the dark side!


So prior to collection next week, could you good duys and gals please bring me upto date on this model its good and bad points etc so I am ready to embark on my new life with E class number two!

Its got command nav so guessing as a June 2012 thats version 4.5 but thats all I know right now other than its running AMG 19 inch wheels so will get filling nailed in this weekend to be safe.

So please any advice and info gratfully required.

Errr yep on order all ready! I take it you just pop out the sticky disc from the inside and drop it in the hole?

My 2011 E 250 accepts 7 digit postcodes and has BT audio. It also has the full colour comand screen in the instrument cluster. Granted mine is a late 2011. I think the last of the prefacelift cars got those goodies before the facelift. A 2012 should have all of the above

I have roughly the same car 2013 E250 CDi AMG Sport, so far its been superb, small issue with the eco stop/start, needed two new batteries, and a battery sensor, i suspect that they were original parts.
