Yet again I ask for your help
CLK 320 with bad mpg I put £20 in the tank and im only getting about 70 miles for it is this what to expect or is there something wrong.

hanks Again

Clk 320 can get up to 35mpg on a run.
25mpg wafting around is entirely possible.

£20 = 3 gallons. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

This is my first mb my last car was a 1.4 astra, But the clk is worth the extra just not sure trying to find my feet with it.

Thanks Again

My Viper does 3.9 on a run....Doh!!!!!

Seems pretty good to me for a 320 petrol, I have a 270CDI and I am lucky to get 90 miles for £20 (round town driving). I need a new thermostat but I still don't think your doing bad.

Sounds about right, on my C320 I chuck in £50 a week and that normally gets me 200-240miles, dependant on my commute into Shepherds Bush and how far I have to drive to golf on Saturday.
Considering I was stuck in 2 hours of barely moving traffic last Tuesday (cos of the Tube strike) for 6 miles and averaged 13mpg, I was gettiing worried about this weeks DTE, but after working from an office outside London and then taking a trip to Herts and then another to surrey over the weekend I was extremely pleased to get 235miles before having to chuck another £50 in.

Running costs of a CLK320 will be significantly higher than that of an Astra 1.4:rolleyes:

Especially when you use the loud pedal:o

my 320 does around 20 to 24mpg in town. I have seen it once do 32mpg but that was when I had to stick to 50mph in road works on the M25, no fun at all.

Having said not bad for a petrol 320, I just done about the same from my 270 CDI. I did thrash it a bit over the weekend. Must do thermo this month.

The wife is only getting 24 out of her Saab 9-3 2.0t at the moment, that 6 miles of commute that does not include any motorways, but still less than the stated minimum, so she is gutted that my 3.2V6 is more economical than her car, but then as I keep telling her, my car would not get 24mpg on her commute either.

Thanks everyone I knew it would cost more than a astra but this being my first Merc I have no idea. As I got the car for £400 I am more than happy with that.

Get a genuine MB one it comes with a new temp sensor retaining clip and gasket.
