Bad Radio Reception

Hi

Does anybody know if there are inline Aerial Amplifiers available for cars, my Dad's S-class has no external aerial and with the APS30 headunit in some radio stations cant be picked up at all. I know that the headunit is fine as it was ok in the SL and also the previous kenwood stereo would occasionally have reception problems.

Check the aerial connector plug coming from the aerial which you plug into the Head Unit. It may appear fine, but have a loose connection / damaged contacts.

This was the case with my COMAND - very poor reception, and replacing the aerial lead plug solved all my radio reception problems. No external Aerial on my car either.
