mercedes s350 cdi 2010
hi there i have recently purchased a 2001 s320 cdi when i bought the car it took a long time to start on a morning it would start better after it had been running so i have proceeded to replace all the clear fuel lines on the car replaced the fuel filter and because the car is permanently in limp mode the air flow sensor the car is slightly better at starting but still not good it is better with a full tank of diesel could this be a poorly injector i am trying to put off taking it to mercedes harrogate at £114.00 plus vat per hour

Possibly also old glowplugs - sounds like a session on a STAR is best way to go (tho its annoying to pay for) but long term could be quickest way of getting an answer.

W220 has I6 engine which starts fine without glows in UK climate, and faulty plugs give a light after start (faulty glow relay not always), so I think you may suffer something else. Make the leak test of the injectors, if one or more leaks more than others, possible reason. Then check the correction values (via star), if near 3 it can also cause starting problems.

why on earth would you want to pay £114 plus vat per hour, unless you have a good warranty of course ---- surely there are some decent merc indies nearby??
