Couple of days ago I got a warning light up on the E320 Estate saying that both ASR and BAS (Brake Assist) were faulty. Fearing the worst (new servo, master cylinder, who knows what) I phoned the local dealership who said "pop it in later this afternoon, we'll take a look."
Soon as I booked it in the chap said "This will be a faulty brake light switch - a common fault on those"
Sure enough after connecting to the computer the fault was confirmed and 10 mins later new switch fixed problem.

Total cost £10.00 for the switch and £15 to fit it!:)

Tony Purslow - Basingstoke, can't fault them.

So if you see those warning lights come up it may not be half as bad as it looks!

Regards,

Phil.
