Under the bonnet there is a plastic slide cover that appears to reveal an alternative contact point to the positive side of the battery connector.

I don't know what the purpose of this terminal is o_O.

If I want to charge my battery with a Ctek or similar, should I connect the positive lead to the contact under the slider cover or direct to the positive post on the battery.

Thanks all.

It's a connector for jump starting the car and more than man enough for charging the battery.

There should be an earth post as well to connect to.

Depends If you want to connect the permanent cable to the P+ do so at the Battery Terminal. if you just want to Trickle Charge occasionally as I do, just slide the Cover back and clip the Charger on!

Thanks all, appreciated lots, cheers.
